Eden4 Presents: Artist Lab
October 2014 @ Centerspace Gallery, Bristol
For one week only Eden 4 are opening our studio to the public. Part performance, installation and live art we will use the gallery space as a temporary studio, combining our individual practices of drawing, illustration, sculpture, installation and textiles. Working collaboratively we will create an ambitious new body of work based around the themes of dark fairytales, myth, religion and the representation of women.
During the exhibition the public will be offered a fleeting glimpse into the processes and experimental techniques behind the art created by Eden4. We invite the public to engage and interact with our work, creating discussion and debate around the chosen themes.

Join Eden 4 Artists, Rosie, Beckie, Rachel & Amy for a fun day of children’s arts and crafts workshops.
The morning workshop for younger children, ‘Mythical Masks’, we will play games and explore the John and Paul Nash exhibition whilst thinking of animals you would find in the countryside. Then the children will have the chance to make and decorate their own fantastical mythical animal masks.
In the afternoon workshop for older children, ‘3D Landscapes’ we will use the John and Paul Nash exhibition to develop ideas of sets, miniatures and fairy-tales to get inspiration for the children to make their own, magical 3D worlds.
These fun and informal workshops will encourage them to explore the themes of landscapes, memories and stories which closely ties in with our current ‘Back to the Front’ series of exhibitions.
Please be aware that the workshops will be messy! So don’t wear your best clothes.
